From data collected through Cornell University's Project FeederWatch, here are the top ten most reported birds in North Carolina:

1. Northern Cardinal
2. Tufted Titmouse
3. Mourning Dove
4. American Goldfinch
5. Carolina Wren
6. Dark-eyed Junco
7. Carolina Chickadee
8. Downy Woodpecker
9. House Finch
10. Red-bellied Woodpecker

And the next 5 were:
11. White-breasted Nuthatch
12. Blue Jay
13. White-throated Sparrow
14. American Robin
15. Eastern Bluebird

Project FeederWatch is a winter-long survey of birds that visit feeders at backyards, nature centers, community areas, and other locales in North America.
