Wild Birds Unlimited Nature Shop of Asheville, NC is looking for a part-time, Experienced Retail Sales Team Member at around 12-16 hours per week to work at our North Asheville location. There is room for additional hours, advancement and opportunities for growth for the right candidate.

The type of person we're looking for has a passion for nature and has interest in backyard bird feeding. We want someone willing to share this enthusiasm with our customers! Looking for self-starters that are detail oriented and can handle multiple tasks in a busy retail store.

Nature Shop Retail Sales Associate Qualifications:

Retail sales experience is required
Passionate about birds/nature is required
Experience with the hobby of backyard bird feeding is a plus!
Experience with point of sale systems
An outgoing personality and someone that thrives interacting with customers
The ability to think quickly and multi-task in a fast paced retail environment
Ability to repeatedly lift 20lbs (we have seed delivery days that require unloading pallets of bird food and we regularly carry bird seed out to our customer's vehicles)
Must love cats- we foster cats through Brother Wolf Animal Rescue. A huge benefit of the job!

Nature Shop Retail Sales Associate Responsibilities:

Working on a POS system and ringing up customer transactions
Selling bird seed and nature products to our customers
Changing of displays, signs and restocking of merchandise
Fulfilling on-line orders
Opening and closing the store
Keeping the store and back room clean and organized
Demonstrating a positive, enthusiastic and professional demeanor
Implementing sales and customer service strategies to help fellow retail sales associates
