If you’re feeding the birds and providing them with a water source, you’re already on your way to creating a Certified Wildlife Habitat in your backyard! Wild Birds Unlimited is a proud partner of the National Wildlife Federation, with the goal to help spread the word about the importance of cultivating backyards that support our local wildlife and ecosystems. By adding wildlife-friendly features from the National Wildlife Federation’s checklist, you're rewarded with a beautiful space in which insects and animals thrive and a sense of purpose knowing you're a steward for the environment.
The process is super easy and designed so you can do all of this yourself. If you have questions along the way, we’re happy to assist you, just call or stop by the store. We have the National Wildlife Federation’s checklist printed out in the store for you to look at and many products to help you in your quest to become certified. We’re always happy to offer solutions to help wildlife with food, water, cover, and places to raise young. Our knowledgeable staff can offer suggestions about sustainable practices that you can put into practice.
Once you attain your certification from the National Wildlife Federation, you can choose to buy a beautiful Certified Wildlife Habitat sign for your yard to show off your accomplishment and to get others motivated to do the same.
